Originally from the Florida shores of Miami, Raelle Ayanna Joni travels far and wide, painting her heart out — sharing the intuitive, child-like magic that flows from her hands. With parents born and raised in the Dominican Republic and Ayiti, the name of her craft is spoken in one of her native tongues, spanish. mana intuitiva (lowercase, as the artist prefers to spell it) — most simply meaning exactly what it translates to in english: working with the power of her “intuitive hands”. I had the pleasure and honour to collaborate with her on a rebrand of her business as she transitioned from North Carolina back to Florida from late 2021 to early 2022.

The rebranding required graphic design, web design, assisting in creative direction and marketing, as well as a bit of copywriting. I carried these duties out with tight deadlines and a minimal budget. The website was designed within 72 hours — just in time to accompany the roll-out of her first exhibition feature, as part of her Zero Empty Spaces artist residency. A bulk of her graphics, including a flyer for the exhibition, were designed before the exhibition for adequate marketing time. Most of it was designed using my iPhone’s app-based suite of tools.

As a result of our coordinated efforts, Raelle was able to secure multiple first sales of the original works of her art, as well as prints.

The nature of this project was very pop-up style, or impromptu. Due to that, as well as off-grid purposes, the website is no longer accessible, but you can see what was designed here.
